A few months ago some of my best friends in the world came to town and brought with them an immensely talented photographer Matt Bonham.

Matt took some great pictures of Spooky and I, as well as of our great friends The Floorboards at Ortlieb’s here in Philly.

Thanks Matt! Can’t wait to see you again soon!

Wetland

Wetland from Sound and Fury on Vimeo.

Awhile back, I was asked by FringeARTS to play at New York based artist Mary Mattingly’s Wetland Exhibit. Wetland is a self sufficient house-boat installation that was docked on the Delaware River here in Philadelphia. It was a cool experience and the guys at ANI New Media put together a neat video with bits and pieces of On The Cooling Board in there.

Take a look!

ps. No Spooky. He was on his own house boat at the time. More information to follow.

Make Music Philly 2014

Last weekend me and Spooky took part in Make Music Philly, a free all-day festival that took part all over our surrogate hometown.

clarkparkshades

The first show we played was out in West Philly in beautiful Clark Park. It was a great lineup with plenty of our friends like Commonwealth Choir, Lover’s League , and Former Belle.

Later in the night we took the train on down to The Institute Bar, a favorite bar of ours to get beers. Spooky took some well needed rest while I stomped and hollered with an acoustic guitar.

We had a great time and can’t wait for more shows (hopefully in your city soon) and we will definitely be out at Make Music Philly 2015.

June

Big things in June y’all.

ClarkPark

Playing two, count em, two shows on the 21st! One around 1:30 PM at this super cool festival in Clark Park and one around 6:30 PM at The Institute Bar

Not to mention co-headlining a KILLER show with Saul Conrad on the 18th at Kung Fu Necktie put together by my buds at The Susan Drangle House.

Remember to check out the tour page, and to follow us on all the social media linked on the left there.

See y’all there!

Cabin Fever

This Winter has been a cold one. Between snow, ice, and sub-zero wind chills I haven’t wanted to do much but listen to Soul music and drink hot tea.

The Fire Feb 4th

Spooky and I did manage to shake off the cabin fever this week to go out to The Fire to play a show with our pal Josh Miller.

In other news Bekuh and I are moving to a new spot in Philly, that will include a new studio space for each of us. With that being said the full album might get pushed back till a little later in the Spring but I PROMISE new songs by the end of March!

Ryan

Setting Dates

I started on this record (that still isn’t done) over a year ago. Between moving, changing jobs, and a laundry list of other excuses it still isn’t done.

Spooky is pissed.

So I am telling you right now, in March 2014 you will have an On The Cooling Board full length so that you may proselytize to your friends, family, enemies, and strangers. I will have more information on type of release and where it will be available in the coming months, but rest easy friends these jams will soon be yours.

I have every intention of trying to get to y’all on this blog more often. Look for the Monday sketch series, as well as some other words I put into sentences.

Also, the first OTCB merch came in! If you would like a free sticker come to any of the upcoming shows or contact us!

Ryan
